Meet the Staff
Rich is originally from the St. Louis area just on the Illinois side of the river. After high school, he joined the Army spending four years at Fort Hood, Texas and then six years in the Illinois Army National Guard. Rich earned a Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. During college, he completed internships at Medinah Country Club in Chicago and at Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey. Upon leaving school Rich became an assistant superintendent at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Rich and his family moved back to the Midwest where he became Golf Course Superintendent/General Manager for Forest Park and Creekside golf courses in Valparaiso, Indiana, and then subsequently relocated to Minnesota to take the same role at Little Falls Country Club. Rich is married to Yadira and they have 3 children James, Leo, and Emilia.
Neil Gryte has been a loyal employee of Wildflower Golf Course for 26 years! You can find him working in the pro-shop and helping out at the snack bar. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering in his wood shop at his home. Neil has made one “hole-in-one” in his lifetime and he hopes to make a second!
Assistant Manager and Lead of Instruction
Christian began working at Wildflower in 2019. He is a 2015 graduate of Maple Grove High School. In 2020, he earned a Degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Management from NDSU. For the past four years Christian has provided golf instruction with over 100 hours of teaching experience of beginner to intermediate level players. When he’s not working or playing the course he enjoys nature, fishing, and being on the lake. He is also a former hockey player and currently serves as a hockey referee.
