Recent Thunderstorms

Posted July 12, 2016

Most of the mid-west, and especially the lakes area, were hit hard with thunderstorms late Saturday (7/9) evening which carried well into Monday (7/11).

The course needed rain, and boy, did we receive it! Sunday morning, the rain gauge read 2.25″, and over the course of the next 48 hours, the final total was 6.6″ of precipitation out at Wildflower.

Overall, the course faired pretty well. It should come at no surprise that the low area on #8 (east, closest to Highway 22) filled up with standing water. A few bunkers were washed out, and we had a handful of trees down, too (thankfully none within playable areas).

The maintenance crew has been busy, busy, busy! The water is being pumped off of “Hole 8 Lake”, and all debris has been removed. Bunker washout repair has begun, too. We are proud of how hard the crew has worked to get Wildflower back to its beautiful condition. Come check it out for yourself! Now is the time to make your online tee time; we’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
