MGA Senior Tour Coming to Wildflower June 10
MGA SENIOR TOUR COMING TO WILDFLOWER GOLF COURSE
Minnesota Golf Association will be hosting their Qualifier Event
Detroit Lakes, MN: The Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) Senior Tour Northern Section of 2019 began on May 6 of this year and will continue through October 7. The MGA Senior Tour is scheduled to come to Wildflower Golf Course, a part of Fair Hills Resort, on June 10, 2019, with their shotgun time at 10 a.m. that morning.
The registration deadline for this event will be May 27, 2019 with a cost of $35 that includes the use of a cart for the duration of their play period. There are currently 54 registered participants coming to the event, with anywhere up to 70 participants expected in total.
This section of the tour serves as a qualifying event for the participants to continue playing in the following events of the yearly tour. The tour began in 1996 and has since expanded to include Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western, Super Senior and Women’s sections. According to the MGA website, close to 750 golfers participated in the 2018 tour.

Wildflower Golf Course is located in northwest Minnesota. The course is located about 15 minutes from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and 45 minutes from Fargo, ND. Open prairie lands and oak-lined fairways make Wildflower an aesthetically-pleasing and enjoyable course to play. It was designed by Joel Goldstrand, a highly regarded golf course architect in the Midwest, who gave the course its distinctive “Prairie Links” design that is unique to Minnesota.
