Originally from Foley, Minnesota, Scott earned an undergraduate degree from Bemidji State University in Sports Management, then went on to earn his Turfgrass Management degree from Rutgers University’s highly regarded Turfgrass Science program in New Brunswick, NJ. Scott has spent majority of his career at facilities in Minnesota. Some of the courses he worked at include: Stone Creek Golf Club, Wapicada, Giants Ridge, The Minikahda Club, Midland Hills Country Club, Hillcrest Country Club, The Pines at Grand View Lodge and Bemidji Town and Country Club. Most recently, Scott worked as the Grounds and Roads Coordinator at Bemidji State University before making the decision to return to his passion—the golf industry.
“I look forward to continuing and building on the work that Tim Halvorson and his staff had performed during his tenure at Wildflower. Tim has left me with some great notes to help me transition into my new position. Thank you Tim!” Scott said. “I also look forward to meeting all the new and returning staff, as well as the members and guests that enjoy Wildflower Golf Course and Fair Hills Resort.”
Scott’s hobbies include involvement in his church and spending time with his children, Noah (14), Brynn (12) and Silas (4). He also enjoys all sports, but especially golf and fishing. Scott had the opportunity to travel to Scotland this past year to visit a good friend, and of course, and play some golf on a few very historical and challenging tracks!
